The Erotic as Medicine

Eros is not just sex.
Eros is the pulse of life itself—
the raw current that wants to move through you,
to create, to connect, to expand.

Pleasure is Your Birthright

When we listen to the erotic body, we reclaim what was buried under shame, numbness, or fear. We remember: pleasure is not a reward.
It’s your natural rhythm.

Is This You?

  • You feel numb where you long to feel alive.

  • Intimacy feels like a performance instead of connection.

  • Desire confuses you—sometimes overwhelming, sometimes absent.

  • Shame or old trauma haunts your body’s responses.

  • You long to feel your sensuality as holy, not heavy.

  • You want to trust your own rhythm in sex, love, and life.

How I Can Support You

I don’t “teach” sex.
I guide you into the language your body already knows.

Together, we:

  • Work somatically with the nervous system so the body feels safe to open.

  • Invite numbness, shutdown, or overdrive into awareness without force.

  • Explore touch, boundaries, and expression as portals to freedom.

  • Reframe desire as wisdom—not shame.

  • Cultivate intimacy from the body outward, not the mind down.

You meet yourself where you ache and discover the current waiting underneath.

What Clients Are Saying —

“It felt so natural, safe, and deeply powerful. There was an immediate sense of connection, I felt seen and accepted from the start. Amanda’s energy is soothing and non-judgemental, grounded in honesty and presence. I dropped into my body with ease, held in her authentic and calming space. It feels very easy and fluid doing exercises with her and dropping in. A perfect balance between softness, care and directness/professionalism. Trying and just going for it feels very easy with her. Thanks so much!”

— Fiona W.

“Amanda supported me through a body-focusing session in which I was able to journey into that grief and fear. At no point did I feel her flinch with any kind of fear or judgement or rescuing — she just held an attuned, deep space for this story in my body to release. The depth of my grief scared me. It was an edge to feel and took me to unexpected visions and places, which Amanda helped me explore deeper and stay present with. This impromptu ceremony of a session was crucial in my overall grief process. I woke up the following morning not once more hit by the wave of the grief I was processing like I might expect, but it felt like something had distinctly cleared. I am grateful to Amanda for creating an exquisitely safe and vast space for me to process a depth of emotion I had never let myself feel quite all the way like that. It was profound and transcendent and truly a gift.”

Common Questions

  • Somatic Sexology is a body-based, trauma-informed approach to sexual wellness that honors the connection between your body, emotions, mind, and spirit. It’s not about techniques or performance — it’s about slowing down, listening to your body, and reconnecting with your erotic aliveness.

Sessions may involve talk, breathwork, movement, touch (always clothed and consensual), and somatic exercises designed to support embodiment, expression, and healing.

  • While traditional sex therapy often focuses on cognitive understanding, Somatic Sexology includes the body as a vital part of the process. You won’t just talk about sex — you’ll explore how your patterns live in your body, how your nervous system responds, and how to create new experiences of safety, pleasure, and connection through direct, embodied practice.

  • You can bring anything here — from curiosity to deep challenge. Some common themes include:

    • Feeling disconnected from pleasure or desire

    • Low libido or libido mismatch

    • Shame or anxiety around sex

    • Recovery from sexual trauma or religious conditioning

    • Masturbation or porn habits

    • Exploring kink, BDSM, or fantasies through a trauma-informed lens

    • Navigating open relationships, boundaries, or communication

    • Body confidence, gender, and identity exploration

This is a space for the full spectrum of your erotic self — shadow and light.

  • Each session is personalized and begins with a conversation. We’ll check in about what’s present for you and what you’d like support with. From there, we may explore:

    • Nervous system regulation

    • Breath and movement

    • Somatic awareness and body scanning

    • Consent and boundary practices

    • Clothed, non-sexual touch (only when mutually agreed upon)

    • Guided reflection or embodiment practices

The work is always collaborative, slow, and responsive to your body’s pace. You are never pressured or pushed.

  • No, this is not psychotherapy. While deeply therapeutic, Somatic Sexology and erotic wellness coaching are not clinical mental health services. However, they often complement traditional therapy beautifully.

If deeper psychological support is needed, I can help you identify appropriate referrals.

  • No. All touch is clothed, consensual, and never sexual in nature. We may explore your relationship to desire or erotic energy, but there is no sexual contact. Safety, consent, and boundaries are central to everything we do.

  • Not at all. This work is for you — regardless of relationship status. Whether you’re single, partnered, poly, celibate, queer, questioning, or anywhere in between, your erotic life belongs to you.

  • Yes — and it may be especially supportive. My approach is trauma-informed, slow, and rooted in consent and nervous system regulation. Nothing is ever forced, and you are in choice at every step. We move at the speed of safety, and your boundaries will always be respected.

  • Sessions are available in person in Lisbon, Portugal or online via secure video call. Both formats are effective, and we’ll adapt our approach to the setting that works best for you.

  • Sessions are typically 75–90 minutes, with longer options available for deeper immersion. Discovery calls are 20 minutes.

  • Sessions are held in person in Lisbon or online via Zoom.

I hold this work with integrity, safety, and deep reverence for your healing — a space where your story, your pleasure, and your becoming are honored as sacred.

    THE THERAPEUTIC ARC

I offer sessions in packages of six sessions — not randomly, but by design.

Six sessions create a full therapeutic arc: a sacred container that begins with intention and culminates in integration.
It’s long enough for real transformation to unfold, but contained enough for you to stay focused, embodied, and present to the shifts.

Within this arc, we move through three natural phases:

Intention — We clarify what your body, heart, or work is asking for, listening deeply to what wants to emerge.

Exploration — We meet the layers: shame, desire, protection, pleasure, story. This is where patterns reveal themselves and the body begins to trust.

Integration — We ground the insights into lived experience — how you move, create, love, and relate. This is where you start to feel your growth, not just think it.

Six sessions allow the nervous system to open, reorganize, and stabilize — the sweet spot where change doesn’t just happen; it lands.

  • Start by completing the Intake Form, a chance for you to reflect on your desires, challenges, and intentions. Once submitted, you can book a 20-minute Discovery Call where we’ll explore whether this work is a good fit and discuss your vision moving forward.
